His Excellency President Mohamed Ould Sheikh Mohamed Ahmed El Ghazwani, President of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, and his accompanying delegation visited today the headquarters of the International Museum of the Prophet’s Biography and Islamic Civilization in Medina, which is supervised by the Muslim World League.
His Excellency toured the museum’s pavilions, accompanied by the Director General of the Royal Protocols Office in Madinah, Ibrahim bin Abdullah Berri, and the Secretary General of Exhibitions and Museums of the Biography of the Prophet and Islamic Civilization, Sheikh Dr. Nasser bin Misafer Al-Zahrani, where he watched a number of interactive presentations on the biography of the Nobel Prophet-God bless him- in addition to the various models of Makkah, Madinah and the Hijrah route, atlases, maps, various educational aids, and modern technical means from interactive displays.
The museum is the nucleus and headquarters of the Museums of the Prophet’s Biography and Islamic Civilization that the Muslim World League is working to establish in a number of Islamic and non-Islamic countries. It is equipped with the latest technologies that make the visitor live the dimensions of the Prophet’s biography, historical scenes and monuments, using VR technologies and a three-dimensional display that shows many historical scenes and monuments. The holdings mentioned in the biography of the Noble Prophet in seven languages are Arabic, English, Spanish, Urdu, French, Turkish and Indonesian.
The exhibition, which includes 25 main pavilions, is concerned with presenting the message of Islam represented in justice, peace, mercy, tolerance and moderation, based on the Holy Qur’an, the biography of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and the luminous Islamic history. It relies on 350 educational methods and teaching aids, in addition to 150 evidence of the greatness of Islam and the preservation of the rights of non-Muslims, in addition to displaying more than 500 pieces of artefacts and museums of the Prophet’s era.
