The leading scholars in the Republics of Pakistan and Afghanistan, next to the Holy House of God in Makkah Al-Mukarramah, signed the historic declaration of peace in Afghanistan, which paves the way for a solution to the long-standing Afghan crisis, by supporting negotiations between the warring factions and rejecting all acts of violence and extremism in all its forms and manifestations. Represented by: His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Noor al-Haq Qadri, Minister of Islamic Affairs and Tolerance of Religions in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, and His Excellency Sheikh Muhammad Qasim Halimi, Minister of Hajj, Endowments and Guidance in the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan .
His Excellency the Secretary-General of the Muslim World League, Chairman of the Association of Muslim Scholars, His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Muhammad bin Abdul Karim Al-Issa, witnessed the signing of this historic declaration, at the conclusion of the Islamic Conference that was held in the Holy House of God in Makkah Al-Mukarramah, under the umbrella of the Muslim World League, sponsored and supported by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. For the first time, he gathered the leading scholars of Afghanistan and Pakistan to achieve reconciliation among the Afghan people.
The historic declaration witnessed agreement on finding a final and comprehensive solution to the Afghan conflict, by supporting the reconciliation process between the conflicting parties in Afghanistan, and bringing it to a common ground of reconciliation, by addressing all political, social, economic and other related issues, through the spirit of joint action; In order to stop the ongoing bloodshed in Afghanistan, and lead the Afghan people to the path of peace, reconciliation, stability and progress in this world with the help of God, in addition to emphasizing that violence is not linked to any religion, nationality, civilization or race, and counting violence resulting from extremism and terrorism in all its forms – including of violence against civilians and suicide attacks – contrary to the basic principles of Islamic faith.
The scholars of Pakistan and Afghanistan extended thanks and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Muhammad bin Salman Al Saud – may God bless them – for the Kingdom’s firm and historical position towards supporting peace and stability in Afghanistan, noting the efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, The honest by extending bridges and unify the ranks, which culminated in gathering the scholars of both sides on one platforms.
They also stressed the importance of the Kingdom in building solidarity and harmony in the Islamic nation, stressing their aspiration for its continuous support to maintain the momentum generated by this declaration among scholars in the Islamic world in general, and among scholars in Pakistan and Afghanistan in particular.
In the opening meeting, His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Muhammad bin Abdul Karim Al-Issa, Secretary-General of the Muslim World League and Chairman of the Association of Muslim Scholars, noted that this historic fraternal meeting in the precincts of the Holy Mosque in Makkah to announce peace in Afghanistan came under the generous sponsorship and support of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in the context of the Conference of Scholars Afghanistan and Pakistan for peace in Afghanistan under the umbrella of the Muslim World League, stressing that this honorable gathering “with its strong and influential scholarly will” is one of the evidences that the Islamic nation is the birth of good for the benefit of its children, and indeed the interest of all humanity.
His Excellency added: “There is no doubt that the meeting of the brothers at the table of determination to be good, friendly and love is the principle, and it is, by the grace of God, what the resolve of our brothers took place in this meeting,” noting that the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan have in the Islamic conscience a wide area that everyone knows, and trust They are great, in the neighborhood of good and love, as well as the bond of religion.
The Secretary-General affirmed that fraternal peace “with his firm belief, sincere determination and responsible covenant, and in the wideness of the universal qiblah, where the blessing of divine breaths and the greatness of sanctity, which made this determination a solemn covenant, will advance peace by the most powerful of scholars. And pay with the help of God .”
Dr. Al-Issa added: “This auspicious care and great support from the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia came as an extension of its great Islamic work, to the extent that it took upon itself to carry out its duty, based on its deserved Islamic responsibility, where God honored it with the servants of the honorable Muslims hopefully.”
His Excellency continued: “It remains for me to point out that the scholars of Islam in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, where they meet in these pure areas, with the people of knowledge and faith, for their word is more Conscience, and message in the horizon of its impact on the public and the private,” stressing that the scholars Faith is the most sincere of those who fulfill their promise and assume their responsibility, and they are the most knowledgeable of the words of God : “ and any one who fulfils what he has covenanted with Allah,- Allah will soon grant him a great Reward. ”
He drew attention to the fact that there was nothing left on the soil of Afghanistan that could be argued by a protester (for whatever pretext), and here the role of scholars is exalted, which is the pivotal and decisive role, and despite its importance and the greatness of its influence, except that the people who are satisfied , added: That God puts bloodshed on his hands and reconciles the relationship, then does not strive to do so.”
His Excellency the Secretary-General of the Muslim World League concluded by saying: “And here you are, virtuous scholars, on the measure of this responsibility, and you have gathered for that, may God reward you abundantly.” He prayed to God to bless this extra gathering which we count with God’s help (Blessed is the beginning, auspicious end), And to pay their determination, and inform them of their desires in a long life and good deeds that are acceptable, while His Excellency commented that the scholars of Pakistan and Afghanistan attended this historic declaration whose word had a decisive legitimate influence on all parties and they pledged a unified declaration on a common word to establish peace on the land of Afghanistan, stressing that the issues of Peace with religious controversy is resolved only by religious scholars, in a “blessed, nurturing and supportive incubator.”
For his part, His Excellency Dr. Muhammad Qasim Halimi, Minister of Hajj, Endowments and Guidance of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, stressed that the Holy Qur’an considered reconciliation the best and beneficial solution to resolving many conflicts and disagreements, so he urged it and promised to adhere to it as one of the virtues of business.
His Excellency said: “There have been many initiatives, and voices have been called to expedite the realization of reconciliation between the Afghan Muslim people and to get them out of the current impasse. This is a moral and ethical strength and a lively conscience, stemming from bitter struggles that occurred in society, and it is an expression of the victory of the power of sound mind and silencing the sound of bullets and suicide. And the explosion that burns green and dry land.”
And he added: “Congratulations to the one whom God has done good on his hands, making him a reason for reunification that has separated, and an end to a division that lasted for years,” stressing, “as a government official,” that all the barriers to reconciliation are removed and nothing remains.
He stressed that reconciliation among the sons of Islamic people is a religious, human, civilized, economic, social, political and psychological necessity that no Muslim society can do without.
By his role, His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Noor al-Haq Qadri, Minister of Islamic Affairs and Tolerance of Religions in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, stressed that bringing peace and tranquility and promoting tolerance in society are among the main goals of the true religion. He said: “Our religion teaches us harmony and unity and supports international cooperation and participation in all charitable works, and Islam speaks of protecting the homeland, encourages development and prosperity, and commands the consolidation of peace and the avoidance of riots.”
He stressed that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has always effectively played its role in bringing peace to Afghanistan, as well as Pakistan has always sought peace and reconciliation, adding: “The two countries have supported every step taken to bring security and peace to the entire region, especially in Afghanistan and globally, and I hope that it will continue. The two brotherly countries are playing a dynamic and active role for peace.”
For his part, the Ambassador of the Republic of Afghanistan to the Kingdom, Ahmed Javed Mujadadi, stressed that the importance of this conference lies in the fact that it is being held in the holiest place in the world, in the presence of a group of distinguished scholars, stressing that the Kingdom has never failed Afghanistan, and is still working and contributing to achieving security and peace in it.
He pointed out that the Muslim World League is making all possible efforts in treating and resolving the issues of the Muslim nation and pushing the factors of conflict and discord, stressing that the conference represents a message of brotherhood, love and peace.
Meanwhile, Dr. Shafiq Samim, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of the Republic of Afghanistan to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, stressed that the efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its leaders are supportive, fruitful and successful in finding fundamental solutions to conflicts in the Islamic world.
He explained that Afghanistan has tasted the bitterness of wars since the past four decades, and has experienced events and battles that have destroyed plows and offspring, stressing that this conference is a serious attempt to search for ways to solve the Afghan problem through constructive dialogue and effective mediation.
As a result, the conference sessions followed, in which the scholars of Pakistan and Afghanistan affirmed their firm determination to consolidate peace in Afghanistan, praising the great efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the context of its Islamic custody and leadership. They also stressed that the Muslim World League is their umbrella and their scientific, intellectual and popular reference.
