4500 food baskets for the poor, needy and widows
The launch of the Ramadan baskets project in the republic of Pakistan
The MWL launched the Ramadan baskets distribution project in the Islamic republic of Pakistan within the breaking fast program that is implemented annually in all over the world .
And the project was launched during a ceremony held at the league’s bureau in Pakistan capital Islamabad sponsored by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in Pakistan, Nawwaf bin Saeed Al-Maliki, in presence the Pakistani minister of the Islamic affairs , and the number of officials in the Pakistani government aid organizations operating in Pakistan.
The Malaki explained during the ceremony that the a program is one of the annual a programs that the league is keen to implement every year with the beginning of Ramadan to help the people of Pakistan, and it’s complementary to the humanitarian assistance provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the sense of its religious, moral and humanitarian duty to assist States and people.
Maliki noted the projects being implemented by the MWL in various fields of relief, health, education and many other humanitarian programs.
The regional director of the MWL in Pakistan Saad bin Masoud Al-Harthy explained that this program is implemented by the orders of the secretary general of MWL Dr. Al-Issa under the direct supervision of the Undersecretary for Executive Affairs, Abdulrahman Al-Matar, as an extension to the leading humanitarian rule that the league preform in Pakistan .
He added that the project is to distribute in (4500) integrated food baskets that the poor, needy and widows benefit in all over the world from Pakistan in Ramadan .
the Minister of Religious Affairs of Pakistan Nour-ul-Haq Qadri, representative the Government and People of Pakistan, thanked the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud, and His Highness the Crown Prince of Pakistan. May Allah blees them. and for the government and people for support to Pakistani people, Stressing that the Kingdom has spared no effort to stand with Pakistan in all difficult times.
And he praised the important role the MWL plays under the auspices of its secretary general sheikh Al-Issa in serving Islam and Muslims around the world.
