His Excellency the Secretary General of the Muslim World League, Sheikh Dr. Muhammad bin Abdul Karim Al-Issa, received a phone call from the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, Dinesh Gunawardena.
The sri lankan foreign minister clarified that his country’s government approved on the league ‘s request to stop burning the Muslims dead bodies in accordance with Islamic procedures.
And the secretary general of the league appreciated the respond of the sri lankan government with the request of the league not to burn the dead Muslims bodies infected by covid-19 in accordance with Islamic teachings, Stressing that this serves to strengthen the close relationship between the Muslim World League, with what it represents as a global reference for Islamic peoples, and the Sri Lankan government.
