Dr. Muhammad Bin Abdul Karim Al-Issa, the Secretary General of The Muslim World League (MWL), has arrived in Pakistan for a nine-day official visit ahead of Eid ul-Fitr. According to the Foreign Ministry, Dr. Al-Issa will lead the Eid ul-Fitr prayers at Faisal Mosque in Islamabad and engage in Eid celebration activities with orphaned children in Pakistan. He will also lay the foundation stone of the Seerat Museum during his stay in the country.
Additionally, the secretary-general will hold several meetings with Pakistani officials, including the president, prime minister, chief justice of the Supreme Court, and Minister for Religious Affairs. During these meetings, the two sides will discuss matters of mutual interest to strengthen diplomatic relations.
Eid ul-Fitr holds profound significance in the Islamic calendar, celebrated at the end of the holy month of Ramadan. Muslims worldwide observe a month-long fast, refraining from eating from sunrise to sunset. Pakistan is expected to celebrate the festival of Eid on April 10, as per the prediction of the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), which forecasts that the Shawwal moon is likely to be sighted in Pakistan on April 9 across the country.
