His Excellency the Secretary General of the Muslim World League, Chairman of the Scholars Association in Riyadh, welcomed the Minister of Islamic Affairs of the Kingdom of Malaysia, and His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Muhammad bin Abdul Krim Al-Issa greeted his guest, His Excellency Dr. Zulkifl Muhammad Al-Bakri who is visiting the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia at the head of a high-level of Malaysian delegation that includes several
ministries.
Dr. Al-Issa explained the league’s eagerness to deepen it’s relations with the Kingdom of Malaysia, for which all Muslims appreciate and love, while Dr. Al-Bakri valued the efforts of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Hs Highness, the trustworthy Crown Prince ” may God protect them” in the service of Islam and Muslims, including serving the guests of the Most Merciful, Stressing that the League is The first reference for Muslims, And his country’s appreciation for the efforts of the League in Islamic countries and the whole world, and it’s eagerness to consolidate the values of harmony and coexistence internationally, religiously and culturally, stressing that the efforts of His Excellency the Secretary General, Chairman of the Association of Muslim Scholars, Sheikh Dr. Muhammad Al-Issa, went beyond influencing the Islamic interior to global influence and building bridges of love, peace and coexistence, The two parties signed a memorandum of cooperation between the Association and the Ministry, They also issued a joint statement confirming their commitment to deepening the bonds of love and brotherhood.
The delegation also honored His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Muhammad Al-Issa, with the Peace Prize in the State of Malaysia for his commendable efforts to seek the best care to Muslim affairs, studying their issues and problems, finding the best appropriate solutions for them, and supporting peace and harmony efforts around the world, and the Peace Prize was handed over to Him by His Excellency the head of the delegation.
Historic Memorandum of Cooperation
The Muslim World League and Ministry of Islamic Affairs in Malaysia signed a joint memorandum of cooperation that includes activating the contents of The Makkah Charter in Malaysia, by preparing a joint action plan with a specific timetable, and this historical document will be submitted to The Malaysian parties concerned with dialogue and civilized communication, and then published in the media. And holding intellectual and cultural events for discussion in the academic framework. The two parties will also endeavor to incorporate the principles of the charter in the educational curricula, and make them available to Malaysian civil organizations.
Serving Islam and Muslims
The League and the Ministry will work on Introducing Islam and it’s original principles stemming from the values of medial and moderation, combating Hyperbole, extremism and Islamophobia, in addition to clarifying the role of the true religion on extremism movements and deviant currents. This activity includes exchanging information and experience between the two parties, as well as accessing publications issued on both sides, especially those related to the fields of Islamic action and ways to support and activate it.
Organizing Scientific Activities
The memorandum includes the exchange of invitations between the League and the Ministry in the academic framework, where the two parties will carry out joint activities in this regard, including holding conferences, seminars, lectures and discussion groups, the League and the Ministry will also support international events aimed to promoting understanding and peace between nations and civilizations, and the two parties will participate in discussions on modern humanitarian issues and ways of resolving it on the Islamic and International levels, and the memorandum will serve the Arabic language and it’s culture and encourage interest in it among Malaysian people.
Joint Statement
His Excellency the Secretary General of the Muslim World League and His Excellency the Malaysian Minister of Islamic Affairs issued a joint statement in which they affirmed their happiness at the fraternal meeting they held and in which they reviewed fields of joint cooperation, and the Malaysian Minister expressed his country’s eagerness to develop brotherhood ties with all Islamic organizations and people.
Dr. Al-Bakri also praised the global efforts made by Dr. l-Issa in his capacity as Secretary General of the League, which resulted in the League’s achievement of qualitative leap in performance and contributed in an unprecedented way to building bridges of cooperation and understanding between the various followers of Al-Millal and Al-Nahl.
For his part Dr. Al-Issa praised the kingdom of Malaysia; Considering it a model for tolerance and coexistence in countries of religious and ethnic diversity.
